Bellybuttons

The other day Emma was playing at a friends house which is pretty normal for her. The mom and I were downstairs talking. Emma came downstairs really upset saying she wanted to go home. This is really unusual for her because the home we were out she loves to play at and we rarely get to play there any more. She then started to go on and on about her bellybutton. She wanted to see my mine and kept pointing to hers. She kept saying hers was gone and so was mine. She asked if we needed to go to the doctor. It is when it hit me that she must have seen her friends who had an outie bellybutton. Emma's has an innie bellybutton and so is mine. She thought because hers was so far in that the "doctor" needed to fix it. After a good day of talking to her I finally convinced her that her bellybutton was fine and nothing was missing and she would be okay.
